A new way how brain diseases develop and how we can treat them

Beskrivelse af aktiviteten: How do diseases like Parkinsons disease, Alzheimer, ALS, or Multiple sclerosis develop and progress, and what can we do to prevent or treat this?

In the lecture we will give an introduction in brain diseases like PD, ALS, MS, or AD. We will present new theories on why these diseases develop and how do they get worse. Based on these models we will go into how we show and substantiate these theories and how do we use this to develop new types of medicine. What do we need to do when we develop new medicine.

How do we test efficacy of new medicine in these brain diseases. Are there things one can do self to prevent or treat these diseases?
